The Challenge

Globalisation in the professional environment presents us with new challenges almost every day. One of the biggest of which may well be how to provide training for a global project team. Nowadays, members of the same project team can be located all around the world, however, ideally, they should all receive the same high quality standard of training to ensure that they all have the same level of knowledge and to create the best possible conditions for working together.

How can companies provide training for their staff, if they are located in Germany, India, the USA and Brazil, without having to spend vast amounts on time and travel expenses?

Solution – Blended Learning

These days, we speak of ‘blended learning’ when referring to the combination of classroom-based teaching and online learning. This method enables companies to provide effective training on their latest innovations and updates while catering for different target groups and learning styles. Here’s how it works:

Classroom Sessions

In a global blended learning course, the classroom-based sessions are held in the form of a webinar. Every day, the course leader conducts a three-hour webinar covering both the technical course content as well as exercises and questions. Throughout the rest of the day, the participants have time to revise and consolidate the topics addressed using interactive e-learning modules. The course leader can use the integrated message board to provide continuous support for the course participants.

After working through the course content in the webinars, the participants can still access all the resources for a further three weeks for later reference. If necessary, and depending on the group size, a final Q&A webinar session is offered, lasting 1-3 hours.

E-learning

The course documents are made available online in an LMS (Learning Management System), thus ensuring that course participants always have access to the latest versions of the documents and allowing them to study at any time, wherever they happen to be. By not printing out all the course materials, participants also make an important contribution to protecting the environment.

The online courses are adapted to suit the individual wishes of the participants. In most cases, a course consists of a message board, instruction, the learning modules themselves and a test.  Once all the tasks have been successfully completed, a data rule generates a certificate, which is also sent straight to the participant’s respective HR department.

Your Benefits

  • Flexible learning – participants learn at their own pace, when and where it suits them best
  • Cost saving – no travel expenses
  • Greater reach – global access to learning resources
  • Interactive, multimedia-based approach – increases enjoyment and motivation for learning
